Five short reading passages on famous Lakota Sioux Chiefs!

• Students will read about famous leaders like Sitting Bull and Black Elk, as well as lesser-known but important leaders like Gall, Touch the Clouds and Spotted Elk!

• Each passage comes with 6-8 short assessment questions.

• Questions are common core aligned. Students will compare and contrast, identify text structure, look for cause-and-effect, find evidence, analyze genre, and more!

• Each passage comes with two versions - one lexile leveled 750-790 for 3/4 grade and one lexile leveled for 910-950 for 5/6 grade!
