You are downloading my go-to writing templates for narrative writing. This layout also works perfectly for general story writing!
Collecting a grade for writing has always been a struggle for me. I added my rubrics to the back of these books to make it easier for me to grade them. The additional benefits have been wonderful! My students use the rubrics to check their work while they write and parents love them because they understand how their child's writing grade is calculated.
What's Included?
- Book 1:
Book #1 includes a rubric on the back. This template uses two sheets of paper once it has been assembled.
- Book 2:
Book #2 does not have a rubric on the back. This template will use just one sheet of paper once it has been copied back-to-back.
- Line Styles:
Both books include versions with primary lines for younger students.
- Language Options:
English and Spanish versions are included in both line styles.
- Printing Directions:
Detailed picture directions have been included to make these books easy to copy double-sided and assemble.
- Editable Rubrics:
The books themselves are not editable but I did include two editable rubrics for your use. The text inside the criteria boxes is editable. I also added a few other examples of some rubrics I used with my own classes.
