What educators are saying

My students thrive off of interactive and engaging lessons! Writing is often difficult for my students so this unit provided great visuals paired with the other writing unit I use. The two in combination have worked wonders with my students' writing abilities.
My students loved using this resource! They were engaged in the resource and had no trouble getting started. It didn't take much time to prep this resource, so it was easy for me to use with my students.

    Description

Are you teaching narrative, procedure, and persuasive writing this year? Not sure how to introduce the topics of story, how to, and opinion writing? Then these are perfect PowerPoints for your Literacy lessons!

This bundle includes three colorful, engaging, and interactive PowerPoints for introducing or revising your writing topics. They define the type of writing, offer examples, and explain the purpose, before teaching the explicit structure step by step.

This writing PowerPoint bundle is ideal for mini-lessons, warm-ups, and introductions to the genres.

Have you ever felt this way?

When I started my writing units each year, I wanted to introduce the concept. I was looking for a way to tell students about what the writing genre is and how it is structured.

But...I needed a way to explictly teach the concept that was actually engaging. When I just talked AT students, they looked disinterested.

Well if you know how this feels, these PowerPoints are for you.

That's why I created these warm-up PowerPoints. I was thrilled to see that my students loved the colorful clip art that moved around. They enjoyed the examples and questions that encouraged the collaborative sharing of their ideas.

I could see that every student was enjoying the lesson, participating in the discussions, and actually understanding the concept. It became a life saver.

The following products are included in this bundle:

    • Persuasive Writing PowerPoint
    • Narrative Writing PowerPoint
    • Procedure Writing PowerPoint

These PowerPoints each come in a ZIP file with Bonus Freebies! Each PowerPoint comes with a free worksheet:

    • Opinion Writing - The Best Animal (4 versions: K-3rd Grade)
    • Narrative Writing - Superhero Picture Prompt (4 versions: dotted and plain lines)
    • Procedure Writing - How to Make a Pizza (2 versions: dotted and plain lines)
