NGSS Cells PBL (Project Based Learning) FULL Unit Plan

This unit plan is a Project Based Learning (PBL) unit for teachers to use to introduce the topic of cells, cell types, organelles, cell size, and cell diversity.

In this unit, students will be assigned a task and they must work together as a group to engineer a cell to accomplish said task. The end product is a cell model, detailed poster, or CAD design. Teachers will facilitate learning during the unit by providing students structured mini-lessons and activites.

Each day has been outlined with what activities should take place, with a detailed description of each. The overall timing of the project is approximately 11 days in class (about an hour each period).
