These perfectly-paired resources are designed to be a key overview of major ideas and topics related to each standard so your students can be prepared for their EOG. There are 3 major sections on each prep sheet in a consistent framework:

• WARM UP: Allows learners to jog their memories on this topic and practice with EOG-style questions.
  • On each Nearpod, there is a Warm Up Quiz aligned with the questions on the EOG Prep sheet. This helps hold students accountable for their practice AND ensures you get student data at the beginning of the lesson.

• REVIEW IT: Allows learners to fill in the blanks, completing main ideas to help make connections to the overall, big-picture concept.
  • On each Nearpod, the answers are filled in. As students are writing you can have discussions with them, do cold-call questioning, etc. to help stamp their knowledge.
  • There are also embedded activities for students to show their thinking and practice with the concepts they just reviewed!

• APPLY IT: Allows learners to take the information they just reviewed and apply it to one, all, or a mix of questions – further allowing them to show what they know!
  • On each Nearpod, these can be displayed as students are working and can be done as gradual release, whole class, OR independent/partner work!

PRO TIP! Compile all pages together in a binder or 3-prong folder to provide a lightweight, “consolidated-curriculum” EOG prep booklet for students to easily review! Have interactive notebooks? Print them out 2-per-page to shrink down to composition notebook size!

What is Nearpod? It is one of my favorite FREE instructional tools to increase student engagement and participation in learning!

• These can be run ”Live” or “Student-Paced” depending on your needs
• I usually run live for direct instruction, allowing me to see real-time results and input from my students which in turn, allows me to adjust my instruction *in the moment*
• I will give a student-paced code for students to complete outside of class or for independent/partner work

Not only have I already added in a variety of tasks/questions and activities for students so you can monitor their learning and boost engagement but because they're editable YOU can add a huge variety of embedded questions, tasks, videos, and activities to check for understanding throughout the lesson!
