My House: Open-Ended Play-Based Activities | BOOM Cards for Speech Therapy

**UPDATE TO EXPLORATION MODE** To help target prepositions and other skills, I added a little "challenge" (see instructions page). In each room a child is hiding (you find her by her sound--there is no picture icon). You can discuss, using special terms, where she is hiding. Or the child can guess where the child is hiding until he/she finds the hiding child. Have fun with it!

My House: Play-Based Activities is an open-ended free play deck that allows for exploration and interaction of home-based scenes. This resource is play based and open ended, but can be used to target a variety of skills, for example: description, requesting, labeling, environmental sounds, function skills, and more!

Explore the entire house, including the:

• Living Room
• Laundry Room
• Dining Room
• Kitchen
• Backyard
• Bathroom
• Playroom
• Bedroom

There are two modes in this game:

1. Explore Mode

2. Play Mode

Explore mode allows for exploration of the rooms on the house (sounds to be added soon) and Play mode allows for exploration AND drag-and-drop decoration of room scenes. You can easily maneuver between modes by clicking the red arrow swap icon.
