My Culture Project

Before young students can understand cultures around the world, its a great idea to let them explore their own culture! This project includes six different choices for students to explore their own cultures. The choices are: a poster, telling a story, sharing a recipe, interviewing a family member, sharing music or a dance, researching clothing. Each page of the project can be duplicated for students so that they can take the project home to complete it. Each choice includes some writing and answering questions. This project is also a great way to get parents' involved in their child's learning. Also included is a rubric for assessing the projects which can be distributed to students ahead of time.
