Music Sub Plan "John Williams"

This Music Lesson Plan is great for an unexpected absence and perfect for a non music sub. Use it as a fun motivational lesson for your band students- great for upper elementary, middle school or high school. Technology IS NEEDED for this lesson. Access to the internet greatly enhances the lesson and is recommended. Your students will love seeing the links to the YouTube videos and doing the music listening activity-including Star Wars! The entire lesson is approx. 50 min.

Students will learn about the life of famous composer, John Williams, and do a music listening activity with some of his most famous woks including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Superman, Home Alone, an Olympic Theme and more! If using for a sub plan, the substitute does not need any prior musical knowledge. You’ll feel better knowing your students will still be learning about music when you’re away!
