Description
Report card comments can often be a struggle to develop. This set of report card comments for music will not only save you hours of work but will help you to clearly communicate what your students have learned as well as strengths and next steps for improvement. This product includes at least three report card comments for each grade level from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in parent-friendly language as well as specific next steps for how families can support their child and what the teacher will be doing to help the student succeed in class.
The comments are organized into three categories:
1.Going Beyond – these students are exceeding the curriculum expectations (Level 4, A…)
2.Got It – these students are meeting the curriculum expectations (Level 3, B…)
3.Getting Started – these students are not yet meeting the curriculum expectations (Level 2, C and below…)
These report card comments are editable and align with the Ontario Curriculum but can be easily adapted to fit with any Music standards.
This product contains:
- At least 3 report card comments for each grade from Kindergarten to Grade 8 at 3 different achievement levels
- 3 Next Steps for each grade level
- A link to the same editable document on Google Slides (When you purchase this product you will be given access to a link that will allow you to open the file in Google Slides)
How to Use:
- Just cut and paste the comments into your report card software or document
- Insert student names where Name is indicated and make sure to change the pronoun to match gender (His/Her). They have been bolded to draw your attention. Select all of the text and un-bold afterwards
- Examples are given in brackets or bolded. Insert specific repertoire or song titles that you have used in your class. Multiple examples are given to help you include more variety and personalization in your comments.
- If printing, make sure to select Scale to Fit Paper if you find your printer is cutting things off
