What educators are saying

I love self checking/matching resources! I think they help the kids to know they're correct and feel more confident! This was a great group work activity.
I love interactive and engaging puzzle activities like these. They provide students with multiple ways to display their new learning.

Description

Students will practice multiplying and dividing integers with this puzzle. Students will solve an expression and will match the solution to a different puzzle piece. This is a great way for practice that doesn't involve a worksheet.

This resource includes:

  • A Tarsia Style puzzle that students will have to match the expression with the correct solution.
  • A blank puzzle that can be used as a template for students to place their pieces on or you can make your own puzzle.
  • Expressions and Solutions in a table format for easy grading or you can cut these out to play a matching game.
  • Blank table. This can be used as a template for students to place their pieces on or you can make your own puzzle.

Options for using this resource:

You can print this puzzle and cut it out for use in a station, or you can give to students to work on individually. This is a great anchor activity or differentiation activity that goes beyond the worksheet for your kinesthetic learners! Print multiple puzzles and place the pieces in a plastic bag. Print the blank template and glue onto a folder and have the puzzle ready to go!
