Multiplication Properties of Exponents in a PowerPoint Presentation

This slideshow lesson is really animated with a flow-through technique. It was made for my Algebra 1 class. The lesson teaches the multiplication property of exponents (multiplying bases means adding the exponents). The presentation reviews the Product Power Property, Power of a Power Property, & the Power of a Product Property. Students will be working with radicals & integers exponents.

NEW: The lesson is in an editable format so you can tailor the lesson to your class. The problems and clipart can’t be edited due to the TOU and to maintain the copyright integrity of the product. You can change the problem number and the names. Using student’s or teacher’s names can be another hook. This PowerPoint lessons is different because it focuses on how students can get lost. A Flow-through technique, which is highlighting the current number or text that the teacher is talking about and animating it to the next line, in the lessons. In multi-step problems students can get lost from one line to another so highlighting the numbers or text should make the students get lost less often. This lesson has double the examples you would find in a regular text book. All the steps are shown to each problem no matter how insignificant. An awesome color coding technique is used in each lesson. Green is for the answer, red for wrong or canceled numbers, & blue, purple & sometimes orange for focusing the next step or separating things. All lessons have a real-world example to picture the problem in action.

ANOTHER GREAT WAY to keep the attention of your students is by personalizing the word problems with the names of students and teachers from your school.
