In this resource you will get a complete lesson to teach multi meaning words

everything is in color and bw! There are 68 pages, with 34 of them in blackline

⭐ I DO There is 1 anchor chart! (in color and bw)

* Teach using the anchor chart that defines, gives examples of homophones, homonyms and homographs & the learning target/objective.

⭐ WE DO Mystery Words (in color and bw)

* A directions page to let students know how to play the game. You will do this with them and guide their learning and address any misconceptions about the concept.

* Projectable and Printable materials for the activity. I suggest projecting this activity and having your students use mini whiteboards to write the mystery words for each page.

* You will be reading the clues and simple sentences. Students will use the clues to write the multi-meaning word. There are 10 pages that are each followed by an answer page. There are a variety of homophones and homonyms.

⭐ Y'ALL DO Go Fishing Game (in color and bw)

* A directions page for you and your students to know how to play the game or do the activity.

* Printable materials for the "Go Fishing" Activity with 24 matches (48 cards)

* I suggest printing the items on cardstock and laminating them before cutting out. Also, you can make them self-correcting by using the same symbol on the back of each of the 2 pieces.

* This has a student recording sheet that you can use as a worksheet (see below).

⭐YOU DO There are 2 worksheets. (in color and bw)

* A directions pages explaining the worksheet

* 2 worksheets with space for the student to self-check the learning target using my FREE self-check posters.

* The 1st worksheet is used with the fishing activity cards from the the activity. They will spell and draw 3 homonyms, then spell and draw 3 homophones.

* The 2nd worksheet has a word bank of 7 homonyms. There are 6 sets of picture clues for students to determine the correct homonyms. Then, there are 4 sets of simple sentences with picture clues and spellings of homophones. They will read the sentences and use the spellings to write the correct homophones on the dotted lines.

* The 2nd worksheet has an answer key & comes in color & bw (like everything else in this resource)

⭐ EXIT TICKET

* A directions page

* Exit tickets with 6 per page for less printing. The top has a place to score

* An Answer Key page with reflection for students who : need support, almost understand the concept, and understand the concept. There is space for anecdotal notes, names and next steps if needed.
