Description
End of the year activity to prepare your high school math students for adulthood! This math resource is about graduating high school and moving out to find your own place to rent. There are 4 scenarios about finding an apartment, renting a house with friends, and budgeting monthly incomes for bills. With realistic life scenarios, students will learn how to budget for rent, monthly bills, and understand the reality of being an adult who has to pay bills. You can also use this for any high school grades to teach them life skills, essential math, IEP math, and Discreet math for problem solving. This will help students prepare for adulthood as they learn and understand that finding a place to rent is not easy, especially if you're sharing rent with others and paying bills such as electricity, heat, cooling, internet, and water. This resource can also be used ALL YEAR
This math resource includes up to 30 worksheets as students need to read 4 of them to understand the scenarios. This would look great in your teaching portfolio, and you can use this for your sub plans! This resource requires NO PREP!
The preview includes a a sample of the resource. The full resource was too large for a full preview. Answer keys included! A series of "Preparing for Adulthood" will be out soon depending on this resource's popularity! Can be used in Canada and USA!
