Description
Directions: Design a movie poster for the current unit of study. Create a title of a movie and the general plot and main characters for a movie about the era being studied. Look at real movie poster for ideas and design.
There is an in-depth rubric that goes along with this assignment. The assignment is worth 40 points, and each part is worth a point value.
This can be for any area of history, not content specific.
This can be done in class or as homework. I have done both.
This works great for Middle or High School; you can just adjust your grading criteria and expectations.
The point break down is as follows:
10pts.Explanation Paragraph
**In a paragraph describe the aspects of your movie poster, such as color, people shown, symbols, and any slogans or mottos used.
20pts.Illustrations
**Be sure that your poster is colorful and all symbols, people, and slogans are neatly drawn and portrayed correctly on the poster.
10pts.General Presentation & Neatness
**Include all aspects of a normal poster. Include the actors playing the roles, the director and a rating.
