This is a very low prep unit. With the reading levels for the text being: Guided Reading J, DRA 18, Lexile 240L, ATOS Reading Level 2.4 (no affiliations.) It’s a perfect fit for late first grade, early second grade or struggling readers at any time. The interesting stories-within-a-story structure makes it a great read.
