Description
Like the saying goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression, and that is why arrival is one of the most important times of the day.
It’s our first chance as teachers to set the tone for calmness and productivity. And one of the most effective ways to achieve that sense is having a predictable morning routine to ensure that all students feel safe and secure, and are able to shift into the mindset of being a learner.
"The What":
This common core aligned, Mixed ELA & Math Review bundle, provides 100 days of rigorous, content driven, spiral review of Language Arts and Math concepts. This pack is great for Morning Work, Warm Up, Spiral Review, or Homework.
Specifically, this bundle includes:
- All 5 packs of “20 days of Math and ELA Mixed Review” in their original form.
- Each pack, includes four cycles of five different worksheets. Each cycle spirals through standards’ aligned content for a total of 20 worksheets.
- The last 20 days of this bundle are a repeat of the concepts covered in the first 80 days. This is a final review to ensure that students have internalized all concepts.
“The Why”:
Arrival time and Morning Work look different in every classroom. This bundle, which is great for either Morning Work, Homework, or Spiral Review is an opportunity for students to get repeated practice of material that is crucial to their understanding of the higher-level concepts taught during Math and Language Arts.
“The How”
Each morning, I give my students time to complete this work during arrival and unpack. For my early finishers and high flyers, they simply read once done. However, for my students who benefit from extra support, this is a chance for me to spend small group or individual time reviewing concepts with which they struggle.
Before purchasing, it is important to note that this 1) this bundle DOES NOT include lesson plans, and 2) this bundle relies on the idea that your classroom is currently teaching standards' aligned concepts.
Because schools teach these concepts at different times of the year, and in different ways, please review the “What’s Included” pages in this bundle carefully to ensure that your students will be prepared for the material and standards that are covered.
