Monthly Jobs Overview - Student Council ASB Leadership - Guided Notes & Sign-Ups

Student Council MONTHLY JOBS OVERVIEW - Establish a routine for all the regular “jobs” in ASB (Student Government or Leadership) class.

This document introduces all the different jobs done on a regular basis and outlines what is expected of each job. There is space for students to take notes. Also included are “Sign-up” Sheets for you and the class to keep track of all the positions as the year progresses. 

I typically use this as guided notes in the beginning of the school year. We go over the Monthly Jobs requirements & what each job does. Afterwards, we have a whole-class discussion about the merits of each job & pick which ones we want to do this year. It’s near impossible to do them all! 

Then we pick students to do the first month’s jobs.

We also choose a spot in the room to display the “Sign-Ups” where all students can see it. As the year goes on, they keep each other accountable.
