Description
This google doc provides you with 3 weeks of school (December) 45-minute lesson plans for:
- Kindergarten
- First Grade
- Second Grade
- Third Grade
- Fourth Grade
- Fifth Grade
Books needed for these lessons:
Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buehner
Winter is the Warmest Season by Stringer
Snowflake Bentley by Jacqueline Briggs Martin
Several nonfiction/fiction penguin books
Sneezy the Snowman by Wright
The Mitten by Brett
The Snowglobe Family by O’Connor
The Snowy Day by Keats
The google doc is editable, so you could change books easily. I teach on a busy fixed schedule so I like to keep my plans simple. This is the reason I normally read the same book to more than one grade level. Plus, the more I read it the better I get!
These lesson focus on read-alouds, story elements, fiction vs nonfiction
