Description

Want a fun way to teach students how to formulate complete and accurate responses to open-ended short answer questions? Monster School Scoot is a scoot game designed to do just that through the use of Echo Response. And because it references a recent children's favorite movie, it's relevant and engaging (FYI- they don't need to see the movie to play this game)

What is Echo Response?
-Using part of the question in your written answer

Why teach Echo Response?
-Students who use part of the question in the first sentence of their response have a better chance of accurately answering the question.
-Students who use echo response are more likely to use relevant text details.
-Students who use echo response are more likely to answer all parts of the question using complete sentences.

Here's what's included:
1. Directions for teaching echo response
2. Directions for playing the game
3. Color and BW Echo Reponse Posters
4. 24 scoot cards with CCLS aligned questions for grade 3
5. Student response form
6. Teacher answer key

Great for test prep :)
Enjoy!
