G.A.P. is a fun review game that stands for group activity practice. It is the perfect way to have students review before a unit test or practice for the SOL test. This game aligns with 2016 Virginia math standard 3.6.
How is it played?
Students work in groups of 4, each with their own job roles. They work on the sections in whichever order they choose, find an answer individually, and then agree on an answer as a group. When a section is complete, the “checker” brings the group answer sheet to the teacher and has their work checked. The group gets 2 points per answer that is correct the first time and 1 point for each question that is wrong the first time but correct the second time it is brought to the teacher. Kids LOVE the game; they have a lot of fun while practicing, and discussing test-like questions.
