What educators are saying

This was a great activity to help reinforce what we'd done in class. I printed it for in-class students, but still have students the option to view the slideshow in color. This would be great for a remote student!

Description

This collection was designed for human anatomy and physiology for students to learn the carpals and tarsals. It can be a self-directed lesson, where students use the slides to learn on their own. Slides contain images of the hand and foot bones with labels and helpful tips for learning their locations. I use the mnemonic "So Long To Pinky, Here Comes The Thumb" for learning the carpals, but there are other phrases that work.

All of the student materials are available for free from biologycorner.com, but without the answer keys or the quiz.

What's included?

  • PowerPoint slides for learning the bones (with link to Google Slide version)
  • Coloring pages for the hand and foot for practice and learning
