How to Use this Activity in Your Classroom:

  • Teacher Presentation: Use the presentation to introduce mixtures and solutions to your students. Visuals are included in the presentation so students can see and familiarize themselves with the vocabulary terms.
  • Student Note Sheet: Filling in notes allows students to work on note-taking skills without wasting too much classroom time with laborious notes. Using the fill in method, students will be focused on your presentation but have enough accountability to complete their note sheets. After completion, students can reference their notes and use them as a review activity.
  • Review Game: Students can play the game independently or in pairs to demonstrate their knowledge of mixtures and solutions. This game is self-correcting so that students will walk away with an understanding of these concepts.
