What educators are saying

This is an excellent resource and was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for this great resource.

Description

Teach students the basics of addends, missing addends, and using the unknown addend to solve subtraction with this set of practice sheets! The practice sheets build in difficulty and give you a quick and easy framework for teaching addends. The pack starts by familiarizing students with the vocabulary and the position of addends in a number sentence, moves on to practice writing addends, then to finding missing addends and finally, using missing addends to solve subtraction problems (Common Core skill! 1.OA.4)

Set works great with number lines that students can use to model the addition and subtraction if necessary. Also, try using ten frames and manipulatives to model the math. Check out my Number Lines for Sentence Strips pack if you need large number lines to use or my Number Sense Math Mats & Cards for the ten frames & small number lines!
