Description

Get to know your students, and help them get to know each other with this fun, animated icebreaker! The MINGLE! icebreaker is excellent to get your kids moving around the room, which of course is effective for engaging our kinesthetic learners. Each slide contains colorful space graphics with animations to keep your kiddos focused and having fun!

While this resource is great for Back to School, you can certainly use this icebreaker at any point in the school year as a community building / brain break activity.

Your purchase includes a zip folder with two files…

  • An MP4 file with the full 12 slides you will need for this activity. With this file, you can see all of the 'out of this world' animations. Each slide is set at 10 seconds but you can slow the video or pause it while you and your students participate.
  • A PDF file of all 12 slides so that you can see all slides without animation if you prefer to either present without animations, or print the slides out for a gallery walk icebreaker instead.

What's on each slide?

  • Slide 1 = title slide
  • Slide 2 includes easy-to-understand instructions to show your kids at the beginning of the activity.
  • Slide 3-12 includes 10 different icebreaker questions to help build community. Questions are suited for all grade levels and include personal/ light hearted questions and school-related questions.
