The United States and Mexico must work together intelligently to stop crime, illegal travel companies, human trafficking, resolve the immigration problem, lead Latin American governments, create economic opportunities throughout the Americas and de-incentivize illegal entry of migrants seeking asylum and employment in the United States.

"Coyotes" are preying on human desperation and collecting cash to bring migrants from Cuba, Venezuela, Honduras, China, India and Romania via Nicaragua in route to Mexico in hopes of entering the United States. American immigration policy is failing, collapsing the southern border, permitting illegal immigrants (including criminals, drug dealers and terrorists) to enter easily, compromising homeland security, and damaging the economies of communities and major American cities.

The future of political elections and the United States as a nation will be determined by how well it deals with the current immigration problem, border security, assimilation of migrants gaining entry, work permits and efficiently managing American taxpayers' resources. Latinos are the largest population of people in the state of Texas and must arise as leaders to help address these problems throughout the United States and Latin America.
