    Our conversation starters packages encourage critical thinking and allow students to discuss topics that are both relevant and important to them while simultaneously increasing their vocabulary and ability to effectively express themselves. Our packages are extremely versatile and have been used as bell-ringers, as supplementary material for topics covered in class, in literature circles, as well as in socratic seminars.

    • A list of thought-provoking questions for middle/high school students on each topic (Over 90 questions combined and numerous games and activities)
    • Activities to fill in before and after discussion (Ensuring students know what is expected of them and what constitutes an effective and productive discussion)
    • Useful expressions and transitions pages (Encouraging students to use and record a variety of useful expressions and transitional phrases to create an effective discussion)
    • Notes pages (Encouraging students to write notes throughout discussion)
    • New words and phrases pages (Encouraging students to record new vocabulary/phrases during discussion)
    • Essay writing pages (Lined pages should the teacher decide to use the discussion questions or quotes as writing prompts)
    • A student evaluation form for students to fill in after discussion (3-page detailed student reflection/evaluation form)
    • A teacher evaluation form for teachers to fill in after discussion
