What educators are saying

I needed questions that would hold students accountable for reading at home, and the questions in this resource are perfect!
Great resource. My students enjoyed using this. It was well put together and the questions really require the students to think a bit deeper. If you are going to use a reading log, I would highly recommend!

Description

Give your 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students meaningful homework where they can read a fiction or non-fiction text of their choice and apply a wide-variety of reading prompts to the section of the text they read each night. Interactive reading logs provide a necessary bridge between students, teachers, and parents. They were created using the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th reading standards for literature and informational texts. Beyond the Common Core, the reading prompts will ensure that students are thinking within, beyond, and about the text while using reading processing skills such as summarizing, making connections, predicting, inferring, synthesizing, analyzing, and critiquing. This product will give you everything you need to get started using interactive reading logs in your classroom. It includes:

-Rationales for Using Interactive Reading Logs and Directions for Using Interactive Reading Logs

-4 Different Fiction Weekly Independent Reading Logs. These are printable and can be copied front to back.
