    Description

Get students excited about learning every day! This bundle includes three sets of full-year ELA bellringers for middle school. If you need daily bell work for multiple grade levels, this bundle makes it easy to get your students reading and thinking right away. Based on my class's 6th grade language arts bell ringers, these engaging activities made the beginning of class my favorite part of each school day!

In the first five minutes of class, you'll be able to teach reading comprehension, roots and affixes, figurative language, synonyms and antonyms, parts of speech, inference, context clues, and many more important middle school reading skills - all through short, interesting, and thought-provoking bellringer activities.

In this bundle, you'll receive the following full-year ELA bellringers:

    • Roots & Affixes Bellringers
    • Inspirational Quotes Bellringers
    • Word of the Day Bellringers

Click "View Preview" at the top of this page to see details about each individual bellringer resource!

Each bellringer resource includes 180 daily slides and 36 weekly worksheets, plus additional pages like indexes and answer keys (see each resource's preview for a detailed list of what's included).

Adding rigorous reading bellringers to my daily lessons was one of the best teaching choices I ever made! I love setting the tone with an inspirational quote on the board each day to get students analyzing and discussing; and no matter how many creative tricks I tried over the years to drill vocabulary skills and a bajillion roots, prefixes, and suffixes, the most effective strategy was always giving it to students a little bit every day.

Skill development beats memorization every time - that's why I LOVE bellringers!

Are you ready to set yourself up with three years' worth of engaging warm-ups that don't involve a single proofreading mark? As an English teacher, I happen to think grammar is a blast, and I always enjoyed proofreading warm-ups in school. Unfortunately, most students don't - so I always prefer to teach grammar AFTER I've hooked them with interesting bellringer. That's where this handy bundle comes in!

Get my bestselling Quote of the Day Bellringers and Greek and Latin Roots Bellringers, plus my new Word of the Day Bellringers, and you'll never have to search for bellringers again. Everybody wins!

I know your students will get as excited about these bellringers every day and learn as much from them as mine have over the years!

(As a bonus, answer keys are now included for all three bellringer resources.)
