Make visual art critiques fun by turning it into a game. This middle school art or high school art critique game has students use Post-its to help drive discussion and thoughtful critique comments.

The students are given five Post-it colors that challenge the students to comment on:

➣One thing they love

➣One thing that could be worked on

➣Their overall favorite work of art

➣The work of art with the best composition

➣The work of art with the best subject matter

This critique game can be set up as an individual critique or a combination of individual and verbal critique. The Post-it process helps students think through comments before jumping into a whole group discussion.
