Description

Start the year off right by introducing key concepts that will be embedded throughout the year in Medieval History! This resource set will introduce the key concepts, provide a content preview, and have students relate the key concepts to their own lives/communities!

Did you know that all of Instructomania's content is grounded in key concept G.R.A.P.E.S.? That's right! From the introduction and notes all the way to the assessments the key concepts are embedded!

Unfamiliar with the acronym G.R.A.P.E.S.? The key concepts or G.R.A.P.E.S for World History are geography, religion, achievements, government/leadership, economy, and social classes.  When students build a foundation with the key concepts, they develop analysis skills and create easy ways to compare civilizations throughout the year!

What’s included:

1. GRAPHIC ORGANIZER AND GRAPES INTRODUCTION - Students engage by completing a graphic organizer that explains the GRAPES key concepts and provides analysis questions that will be used throughout the year.

2. WORKSHEET- Then, students complete a worksheet that has the Middle Ages History year in preview, matching key concepts to civilizations that will be learned about.

3. MY WORLD GRAPHIC ORGANIZER- Lastly, students complete the My World doodle style notes activity that has them compare their lives to the key concepts. This activity is engaging and is FANTASTIC to hang on walls at the beginning of the year!

4. CLASS POSTERS- Two to choose from!
