Description

Pocket chart or sorting cards (in color and black/white) to use when sorting and comparing temperature. Assessment activities included in cut/paste form to use at end of unit.
*Note: Only in one set of pictures is a temperature degree given, such as as 90F, 32F, etc. The rest are pictures of items kids are familiar with, such as pizza, ice cream, etc, that students have a general idea of the relative temperature for each items. This is not meant to be an activity comparing two digit numbers to order based on tens/ones, etc. This is meant to help students understand temperature in relation to other objects and comparing/ordering them*

Ordering by Capacity Headers:
Hottest to Coldest
Coldest to Hottest

Sorting by Temperature:
Hot
Cold
Room Temperature
