Measurement - Capacity Ordering and Comparing

Pocket chart or sorting cards (in color and black/white) to use when sorting and comparing size. Assessment activities included in cut/paste form to use at end of unit.

Ordering by Capacity Headers:
Greatest to Least
Least to Greatest

**There are 9 sorting cards with 6 pictures on each page. All ten pages can be used for sorting by capacity. 4 of these 9 pages are simpler and used like size I.e. A small tub, a medium tub, a large tub, is in order from what holds the least to what holds the most water**

Sorting by capacity comparison:
Holds more than a pail
Holds less than a pail

Student Assessment Pages:
-Ordering worksheets (cut/paste) from greatest capacity to least capacity (two versions)
-Comparing capacity ("Color or circle the item that has a greater capacity.")
-Sorting activity (cut/paste) in comparison to a pail of water "Holds more than a pail" and "Holds less than a pail."
