What educators are saying

I like the layout of this grammar sheet. Helped my students see how the singular and plural form of doler is used for all subjects and the body part that follows determines the number. Thanks!

Description

Me duele (My ... hurts)

Worksheets to help students learn how to say that something hurts in Spanish and to practice the Spanish verb DOLER.

Chart: The chart shows the structure (word order) of sentences to use when you want to say that something hurts. It shows the difference between me duele and me duelen, te duele vs. te duelen etc.

Worksheet 1: The first worksheet is to work on the difference between duele and duelen. Students need to complete the sentence with the appropriate word.

Worksheet 2: Students need to complete the sentence with the appropriate pronoun (me, te, le, nos, os, les).

Worksheet 3: There is a short story in Spanish where students need to fill the blanks with either duele or duelen according to the context of the sentence. The past tense is used in this story.

Worksheet 4: Students need to answer the questions about what part of the body hurts the person that is mentioned (via the causes of that pain/ache).

Worksheet 5: Students are asked why they (or another person) is not doing some activity. They need to give the reason why by saying that something hurts.

Handout: There is a list of parts of the body with a space next to it. Students can either write the meaning of that part of the body in English or as an alternative they can write the plural form of that word.

These worksheets can be completed in any order.

We have included answers for the teachers.

IMPORTANT: All information on the worksheets, including the instructions, are 100% in Spanish making them ideal for Dual language immersion classes. However, there is one handout that has a list of words in Spanish with their corresponding translation in English.
