Description
The purpose of this lesson is to educate young people about the history and significance of the Poor People's Campaign as well as have students analyze the speech The Other America by Dr. Martin Luther Kinfg Jr. Students will be challenged to closely read the speech, respond to text dependent questions, and summarize the main idea of the source. I hope that your children find this to be an educational experience that will help expand their understanding of the work and legacy of a great man.
