Kick off your March units and themes and SAVE with this shared reading bundle!

This bundle contains 6 shared reading sets with the following seasonal themes:

    • St. Patricks Day
    • Reading Celebration Week (Dr. Seuss Week)
    • How to Make a Rainbow
    • Signs of Spring
    • Thunderstorms/Stormy Weather

This leaves you with more than enough to have a shared reading of the week for every week in March!

In each shared reading set you will find:

•Project and trace template for tracing anchor chart onto any 25x30 in. easel paper.

•Color copies of reading for sharing digitally or printing for book bins.

•Large-sized picture cards for using on an anchor chart.

•Large-sized sight word and vocabulary cards for using with pocket dice or in the classroom.

•3 differentiated practice pages based on skill – sight word, vocabulary, picture matching.

•Photos from my own classroom of shared readings in action to use as inspiration or spark ideas!

Why are shared readings so great?

Well for starters... They hit tons of standards all in one activity!

    Each shared reading practices:

    •Sight word knowledge

    •Phonics/decoding practice

•Tier 2 and 3 vocabulary matching the theme of the set.

•Exposure to use of proper writing conventions (uppercase, spacing, punctuation)

•Reading Strategies like one-to-one correspondence, and using picture and sound clues to read more challenging words.

•Fluency practice with daily reading, improving accuracy and speed.

•CONFIDENCE! When a kid reads something repeatedly, they become more confident with it. When they become more confident with one reading experience, it is more likely to follow with them as they go on!

•These resources act as a great tool for introducing a new theme

Plus, each shared reading is created with love and care by a Kindergarten teacher who understands kids need to have FUN with what they do if we want them to love learning. I use these in my classroom every single week, due to popular demand by my students themselves! They enjoy the thematic pictures and sentences that get them excited for the season, holiday, topic, or whatever it is that we are diving into!

Still not sure? Try this FREE Shared Reading Set first to see if these are for you!
