Description

This Presidents Unit has 4 Activities that help second graders learn about USA presidents! Plus it practices language and social studies skills with a presidential theme!

Why use Mapping, Comparing, Syllables, and Opinion Writing with a President Theme? Children are drawn to activities that are connected to something fun. The presidents theme help engage the children to these learning activities around Presidents Day or elections!

How it works: Teachers can assign different activities to be done with partners, small groups, or the whole class.

What's included: This resource has a mapping activity (finding presidential places on the USA map), a comparison activity ( a Venn diagram comparing George Washington and Abraham Lincoln), Race to the White House (a board game with word cards for counting syllables, and an opinion writing activity (which president was best?)
