The video teaches the story of Manifest Destiny and how it led to the Mexican-American War as President Polk fought to expand America from coast to coast. It covers Oregon Fever, the Oregon Trail, the annexation of Texas, Polk sending American forces into disputed territory, criticisms of the war, and some famous battles, and the outcomes of the war with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
