What educators are saying

Used this as a sub-plan with my psychology students and they said they really enjoyed it. Substitute said students were engaged and on task.

Description

This is a PowerPoint presentation I use in my Psychology class to talk about Mandalas and their use in Psychology/ Therapy. The PowerPoint discusses the history of Mandalas (including info about Carl Jung's strong belief in them), the purpose of Mandalas, Mandalas found in nature, how they are used in Art Therapy, and specific instructions for how students can make their own Mandalas at the end!

This takes up my entire 1-hour class period (15-20 minutes for the lecture and 40-45 minutes for the students to create their own mandalas while I play soft music in the background). My students absolutely loved this activity and begged me to let them make more mandalas during our next class. Several students even brought me other mandalas they had created on their own time during the weekend. It's a very informative and creative exercise for the students!
