Description

If you teach math, of course you’d like your students to have
their multiplication facts memorized. Not only does memorization
make more complex multiplication and division faster and easier, it also helps with fractions, algebra, and more.
The reality is, however, that many students will not commit the facts to memory for a variety of reasons, and others need some
help to commit the facts to memory.
After years of frustration with this very issue, I knew there had to be a better approach. I’ve used music as an effective mnemonic device in other areas, so why not use it to address this issue? That’s when I developed the multiples songs included in this product. My students could handle 0’s, and 1’s and they came with a decent ability to recall multiples of 2, 5, and 10, thanks to extensive practice with skip counting by these factors. I focused my efforts on helping my students learn multiples of 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9.
The real reason to use these songs is because THEY WORK! Students refer to the song “lyrics” again and again throughout the year to help with a variety of math processes. I have former students tell me they still use their songs to help them with math in later grades. In fact, I’ve had high school students tell me that the songs helped them be successful on their graduation exams!
For some students, the songs help them master their basic facts. For others, they provide a tool to help them to do the work, even without the memorization of multiplication tables. Whatever the situation, teachers and students have thanked me for these songs. They REALLY DO make a difference.

Product contains
*"Lyric" sheets for multiple songs for 3's, 4's, 6's, 7's, 8's, & 9's put to common songs
