Looking for a quick, NO PREP activity to get you through this busy season? Christmas Shopping Inferences is a great way to target mixed groups with Christmas Spirit in your Speech Room! This resource has a 5-star rating and is easy to use with TpT's Easel tool- both in the therapy room, classroom, or on the go!
Each student is presented with a description of a person they might know in their family or community. Given "clues" about each person's interests or likes, your student is asked to pick the perfect gift from a field of 5. Have your student highlight the clues in the description that LED to their gift choice. This is also a terrific lesson for targeting:
*Pragmatic Skills (is this gift a good choice for the person's age/gender/relationship to you?)
*Articulation (Can you say your speech sounds while reading these descriptions and explaining your choices?)
*Critical Thinking (What should you spend on your mom vs. your groomer?/Why wouldn't you buy X for that person?)
There are a total of 20 descriptions, each with 5 possible gift choices.
