Description

Hi! This product is a "Choice Board" style project for students to practice the macromolecules in a variety of ways. Included you will find a project worth 100 points: Category 1 = 20 points, Category 2 = 10 points, Category 3 = 30 points, Category 4 = 40 points; also included are the rubrics for each category, online resources for the technology component, and teacher instructions. The timeline for this project can be anywhere from 1 week - 2 weeks, depending on the level of your students. This project was designed for a lower track biology class, however, it can be used for CP or honors.

Sample student work will be uploaded as it is completed (students are currently finishing up this project).

*NOTE* Category 2 will be completed using youtube videos, I DO NOT OWN THESE VIDEOS. Please refer to the teacher instructions for how to access links.

Construct and revise an explanation based on evidence for how carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen from sugar molecules may combine with other elements to form amino acids and/or other large carbon-based molecules. Emphasis is on using evidence from models and simulations to support explanations. Assessment does not include the details of the specific chemical reactions or identification of macromolecules.
