What educators are saying

I love using this for our weekly Mystery Readers. I have used the pages to make a class book and to send home a thank you note to the reader.
This resource was great. It was so easy for me to prepare, and the parents were able to easily sign up.

Description

Inviting mystery readers into my classroom is an activity that the children adore. They get so excited to see who will be coming and it's great to let them see so many people reading. In addition to parents and family members, I try to include faculty and staff as well. To streamline this process of hosting mystery readers, I created this mystery reader kit. It helps me stay organized plus it's really cute!

A mystery reader is someone who doesn’t usually visit or teach your class. They come on a specific day and time to read to your students. Their identity is kept secret to build anticipation and excitement. Teachers can give clues before they arrive to get the students extra excited! Learn more about this mystery reader resource below!

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

invitation letter explaining what a mystery reader is

sign-up book to keep track of who is coming in

reminder slip to send home

clue sheets with a space for a photo/drawing to add after the visit

book cover for an ongoing class book to create using the above clue sheets

poster to display when you have a mystery reader coming in to read
