Description

Kindergarten Unit of Writing includes Looking Closely.
I have created a center for Literacy and Science that supports both curriculums.
All you need is to print these differentiated papers out and grab anything you want in your classroom. Students work on labeling and/or listing items.

Science Discovery; Observatory Center

Differentiated Graphic Organizers for the whole year
Your students can observe anything and record their observations.

Things I use throughout the year!

Apples, Sunflowers Leaves, Acorn, Pinecones, Pumpkins, Gourds
Seashells, Wooden Logs, feathers,
Orange, Avocado, Banana, Kiwi, Mango, Strawberries, Grapes, Pineapples, Pears, Star Fruit, Melons, Watermelons
(I also cut the fruits in halves to observe the inside of each fruit)
Seeds, Sprouts, Plants, Flowers, Forsythias, Pussywillows, Daffodils, Tulips

**Tip: I send a letter home to the parents in the beginning of the year (back to school night) to see if they can volunteer to bring one item throughout the year. They sign up for one items per week. My students get to observe that one item or two throughout the week during their center/choice times.
