What educators are saying
This is a great resource for my reading groups. I also sent some home with my students who are working on comprehension at home.
I loved having this next to me while reading with students. I could easily find a question for them to answer and take some notes about it.
Description
This product includes literal, inferential, and critical questions to use with any book for students in third grade. The questions focus on summarizing, making predictions, making connections, synthesizing, inferring, analyzing, and critiquing.
The questions included reflect expectations of students in third grade. Use the questions to help students dig deeper when reading and to propel them toward more difficult texts.
*****************************************************************************
IMPORTANT: The grade level sets build off one another. Please take this into consideration when purchasing as some of the questions in the surrounding grade levels may overlap. New questions for each grade level are marked with an asterisk.
*****************************************************************************
Question Lists: Use the lists whether you're working one on one, with small groups, or as a whole class. Find appropriate questions to ask your students. You can even organize the sheets into a binder and use one set per child to set reading goals and keep track of their progress throughout the year
Question Sets: These are broken down into segments to allow teachers to use just the set they need at a specific time. Laminate the sets for durability and place them on a ring. (you will also be able to use dry erase markers to jot notes on them if you laminate!).
*The question lists and question sets have identical questions on them. What you use depends on your preference.
