What educators are saying

My students favorite lab of the year! It provided a tangible (and fun) example of limiting reactants. My students did get slightly confused with some calculations because they were over-thinking the questions
Such an inventive way to teach limiting reactants! My students really understood and loved this activity/lesson!

Description

This is one of my students favorite labs year after year! The lab is a simple activity that has students count and determine the limiting reagent for their S'mores.

I have the students work out the pre-lab before they are able to make S'mores. Then we light the Bunsen burners and get started! (You could also do this lab without heating the S'mores)

The file includes a cover page, student lab page with pre-lab and post-lab questions, key with answers and work, and example of student poster.
