Description

**I used this lesson for a high school class with intellectual disabilities (3rd-4th grade level) but this can be used for students of any age who struggle with organization or time management skills!**

This lesson helps students organize time and create a plan based on someones schedule and goals for the day :) !

Students are given a "portfolio" of someone's schedule: time they start work, end work, travel time to work, time they go to sleep, time to eat dinner, duration of cooking time etc. Students must work together (or independently) to create a schedule for their portfolio person using a planner organizer!

This lesson can easily be spread out to 2-3 class periods by including extensions (students can create additional activities and interests for their "portfolio" and strategically place them into the planner, create their own planner or have students come up with a schedule for a character and swap with a partner to create a planner for that character)

This lesson includes:

•Slideshow presentation for lesson (includes: a "do now", modeled example, questions, expected responses / examples to further understanding and discussion, assignment expectations)

•Google Docs Planner Organizer that can be easily customized

•Google Slides of 4 "portfolios" with different difficulty levels

•Bonus Google Slide with "example" portfolio of teacher's schedule
