Description

Your handshake: the first and lasting impression you leave upon meeting someone for the first time. It's the first evaluation of you someone can make. This skill is important whether you are going in for an interview, meeting a potential spouse's family, or meeting your future boss. Like any other skill, it must be practiced and critiqued.

This lesson plan includes:
- articles (for annotating)
- exit cards
- a "hook" introduction
- lesson plan directions
- collaborative worksheet
- concluding presentation (for students to create)

There are independent and partner elements to this lesson. Student begin by evaluating one another handshakes. My students LOVED this activity and showed extreme growth in their handshaking capabilities (they all had to shake my hand to prove they could replicate the proper technique). Enjoy!
