What educators are saying

My students have LOVED using this resource. We used it as an interactive digestive system activity and showed the flow of food through the system. It was great!!!
This was a great resource for students to visually see the digestive system and practice their knowledge of the digestive system. Students were engaged in the lesson while constructing the digestive system.

Description

Paper Models can be a great tool for reviewing structure and organization. Here are some ways to use your paper model of the digestive system:

1. Print a set on card stock. Have students work in groups to assemble the model as a review activity. No gluing or taping required - students can assemble and dissemble as much as necessary!

2. Have students work in groups or pairs to make a life size model of the human body. Provide roller paper for students to trace and cut out an outline of their body. Have them color, cut out, label, and arrange the organs over their paper body. Looks great as a hallway or classroom display, and other paper model systems can be purchased to use as well (coming soon)

3. Make a laminated set for yourself. Glue magnets to the backs for a great visual aid during lectures.

NEW UPDATE: I've doubled the content! This document now includes
- a FULL COLOR version as well as the black and white line drawing (coloring book style)
- a new and improved set of labels (now includes specific regions, such as the duodenum, ileum, jejunum, transverse colon, ascending, and descending colon)
- directional labels for demonstrating the pathway of food through the g.i. tract
