What educators are saying

Great digital resource. I love that these boom cards are self check. I have my students complete them over and over to help with reinforcement of the concept. Great tool to use as a review prior to an assessment.

Description

These twelve digital task cards on the BOOM Learning website about cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems will get your students thinking about human body organization on a deeper level. This deck gives students practice with how the body is organized from cell, tissue, organ, organ system, to body by solving analogies.

The first four cards in the deck have basic multiple choice questions about cells making tissues, tissues making organs, etc. The fifth card requires students to arrange cell, tissue, organ, organ system, and body from smallest to largest. The sixth and seventh cards introduce analogies and guide students to solve analogies on their own. The remaining five cards have one analogy each. Below you will see a completed example analogy.

California : Body

Los Angeles : Organ System

Family : Tissue

Person : Cell

Neighborhood : Organ

More about BOOM Learning…

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you'll need a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial. If you choose not to stay on a premium account after your free trial, you will still be able to assign all your Boom Cards to as many students as you see fit using Fast Play pins (which give instant feedback for decks that are self-grading).
