Description
Need information about reading to share with Kindergarten, 1st grade, or 2nd grade families during parent conferences? Or to send home with report cards? Or just want to encourage independent reading during Winter or Summer Break?? This is what I use!
This product includes:
•Informational handout for families: “What Are Just-Right Books?”
•16 leveled book lists for primary students in Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade (Levels A-P)
Important Notes:
•These lists are appropriate for primary students in K-2. Only levels A-P are included since content above a level P is often not age-appropriate for 2nd grade students.
•The lists are leveled by Guided Reading Level based upon information from various sources including F&P, Scholastic Book Wizard, and publisher websites.
•Lists are not labeled with leveled since many schools ask teachers to not share reading levels with families. You can find the level of each list in a small footnote at the bottom of every page.
•Please note that reading levels are not an exact science. Many of the books on the same level will vary in difficulty.
Helpful Hints:
•Print the family informational handout and 1-2 lists for each child’s reading level.
•Send home with report cards, during parent conferences, or before a break to encourage at-home independent reading!
